Terms of Service

1) Who We Are
These Terms govern Bond, the private matchmaking app operated by Quentin Roba, independent, Belgium ("Bond," "we," "us," "our").
2) Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a login code, creating an account, or using Bond, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3) Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and legally able to enter into a contract. You may only use Bond where doing so is lawful.
4) Account & Security
Bond uses passwordless authentication. Keep access to your email account secure because your Bond account depends on it. You are responsible for activities carried out under your account. Contact us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
5) License & App Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Bond for personal, non-commercial matchmaking purposes. We may update or withdraw features to improve the service or protect users.
6) Conversation & Planning Features
Bond assigns you a random display alias—no profile photos or bios are required. Conversations are text-based. Messages, acceptance states, and date proposals (location, meeting time, distinctive marks) are stored so you and your match can keep track of plans. You retain ownership of what you write, but you grant us a licence to host and transmit that content to operate Bond. Do not post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, or infringes others' rights.
7) Safety Expectations
Use caution when meeting people from Bond. We do not perform background checks or guarantee user behaviour. Arrange meetings in public places, tell a friend, and follow your instincts.
8) Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: • misrepresent your identity or impersonate others; • scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with Bond's infrastructure; • automate usage, spam, or solicit commercial services; • upload malware or attempt to probe security without permission; • collect or publish others' personal information without consent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
9) Fees
Bond is currently free and ad-free. If we introduce paid features, we will present the applicable terms and EU consumer rights before you choose to pay.
10) Intellectual Property
Bond, including its code, logos, and design, is owned by Quentin Roba or its licensors. Your licence is limited to personal use; these Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights.
11) Third-Party Services
Bond may rely on third-party processors (hosting, messaging, email). Their terms and privacy notices apply when you interact with them. We are not responsible for external websites or services.
12) Termination
You can close your account at any time through the app or by contacting [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create risk, or for other legitimate reasons. When your account ends, we may delete conversation and proposal records consistent with our Privacy Policy.
13) Disclaimers
Bond is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that matches will result in successful meetups.
14) Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to mandatory law, Quentin Roba's aggregate liability related to Bond is limited to EUR 100 or the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
15) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Quentin Roba for losses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of Bond, to the extent permitted by law.
16) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, or product reasons. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
17) Governing Law & Venue
Belgian law governs these Terms. The courts of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that let you bring a claim where you live in the EU.
